Rusty is the Pastor of Highland Baptist Tabernacle in Blue Ridge GA. He married Nicole in 2000 following college graduation, and they now have four children: Jackson, Amelia, Jude, and Isabelle.

Rusty graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2000 with a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries, graduated from Pensacola Theological Seminary in 2003 with the M.Div. degree, and is presently in the D.Min. program at Dallas Theological seminary.

His loves in life include Jesus Christ, first and above all others, wife, Nicole, children, family, church family, friends, books, mountain biking, hiking, organized sports, and good coffee.  Rusty enjoys reading the Bible, biography, mystery fiction, Christian classics, and some modern Christian authors.
